How to display WordPress blog posts on your Rails website

We’ve had a flurry of clients at Resolve Digital (and even ourselves) wanting to integrate their Rails site with a WordPress blog. We generally recommend our clients use WordPress if they want a blog, but that leads to one technical problem: Rails is written in Ruby and WordPress is written in PHP.

And of course our clients often want to see their latest blog post (or last few recent posts) integrated on their home page. But that home page is running off their Rails site, so somehow the WordPress blog needs to integrate with the Rails site.

David Jones, our resident technical wunderkind (OK, he’s a resident of New Zealand) came up with a solution in just two simple steps.  Do-it-yourselfers, get the full instructions on David’s blog. Everybody else, contact us and we’ll implement it for you.

finally, thank you so much.. I thought it was hopeless for me.

I’m really disappointed to see that the blog entry doesn’t exist anymore! I can’t find anywhere else how to pull in WordPress entries to Rails. Is there a reason the blog entry was taken down?

I agree with Sean – any chance of getting this blog entry reinstated or updated?

just do a rss reader, then, show the posts on your site :D
